Data bloat, what is it and how it can impact the large Enterprises?  The databases are prone to generate additional data for certain operations, but the important thing is how efficiently it manages to remove it or avoid growing it over a period of time.

PostgreSQL also offers ways to contain and remove bloat, but many-a-time those are so costly or requires high maintenance that they don't help.

zHeap is a solution in making that will avoid generating bloat in PostgreSQL.  In this talk, I will explain how this new solution can help in solving the problems related to bloat.

Bloat is the main problem which zHeap tries to address, but that is not all, it will also have a smaller disk footprint and will reduce the disk writes.

This talk will also cover what is already done and what is the future plan to make this solution a reality in PostgreSQL.
